FreeThe ICE Glasgow and West of Scotland Branch final, a fun and exciting evening where young members get a chance to show off their skills.
The Emerging Engineers Award is an opportunity for ICE student, graduate and trainee technician members to present their research and innovative work.
Submissions are to be based on any civil engineering-related topic in the format of a research paper, report or written exercise essay. You can find full competition guidelines on the entry form which you’ll also need to complete and send in with your entry.
This competition gives young engineers the chance to practice writing and presentation in preparation for a Viva or Professional Review. It’ll also raise your profile, help promote your university or employer and give you the opportunity to have your paper published. Competitors can also win prize money of up to £150. Cash prizes are also awarded to winners and runners-up.
Papers on any area of engineering design, research or practice are sought.
The winner of the Glasgow & West of Scotland Branch Final will be awarded the opportunity to compete at the Scottish Regional Final for a chance to represent Scotland at the UK National Final on September 29, 2017, in London! The date and venue for the Scottish regional Final will be announced soon.
