All in together! Scottish Agile & Tech communities present: Sathpal Singh
10 December 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Synopsis
Effecting meaningful change and adding value is something most Agile practitioners are striving for. This can often be a battle with existing embedded ideas, a resistance to change and the system as a whole. Marry this with our own imposter syndrome and inner conflicts and you have a perfect storm. This is a story of stumbling upon a lesser-known psychology and the profound impact it had on a rethink in attitude, how we see ourselves and the interconnectedness of the systems in which we operate.
Full Description
We all experience peaks and throughs. We tend to be at our best when we get into a state of flow but what is that and what are the benefits? In this new talk we’ll hear how the speaker found inspiration from an expected source which then springboarded them into a journey of deeper reflection and self-discovery leading to a renewed look at motivations and regenerative change.
We’ll cover
- the benefits of a flow state
- an introduction to the lesser-known Adlerian psychology,
- motivational maps
- An exploration of the 7 living systems principles.
Takeaways for the audience:

- A perspective on Adlerian psychology and how it resonated
- An overview of motivational maps and how they help you understand what motivates you
- How to bring it all together through an exploration of the living system principles
