Automotive Electrification. The application of motorsport engineering to create the electric cars of the future.

The Formula 1 series and its teams, including Williams have been pioneers in the development of electrified kinetic energy systems for the race cars. Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) has gone on to provide the electric batteries to the ABB FIA Formula E world championship, and are currently developing the batteries for the electrification of the FIA World Rallycross championship from 2020.
In this talk Paul McNamara will describe the technologies within electric motorsport and how these are being implemented into road cars as well as discussing the expected future trends in transport electrification.
