BCSWomen Scotland Event: Why won’t people do as they’re told?
31 August 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Why won’t people do as they’re told?
We are delighted to invite you to this rescheduled event
31st August, from 5.30pm at IBM, Edinburgh.
Sign up here: https://events.bcs.org/book/2625/
Refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome.
Why won’t Mum have a password on her iPad? It’s such a simple thing but it could save the iPad from being stolen. Why is that person having a loud phone discussion about redundancies at their company in the queue to board the plane? Surely they know that we are all listening? Why, oh why, do people do such careless things?
Wendy Goucher is an Information Security Consultant specialising in the human element of cyber security and she will be discussing “Why Won’t People Do as They’re Told”. Her research has been mainly in that area of work but this fundamental question can apply to just about anything. It is a darn good question. She’s not promising to have THE answer, but will provide a little ray of light to help you find greater insight. You never know, it might save you a headache or two.”
