Body Armour

Professor Debra Carr is a Materials Engineer who will talk about the materials, design and rationale of UK Military and Police body armour and helmets.

Debra’s current role is as the Defence and Security Accelerator’s Innovation Partner for Scotland, but has previously worked for the MOD, Imperial College, the University of Otago and Cranfield University.

The talk will be approximately 45 minutes long and there will be time for questions afterwards. Please be aware that there is a secure entry system into the venue so allow for extra time to arrive for the 7pm start.

Registration will close at midnight on theĀ Thursday 12th March.

Please be aware that you will be asked to confirm your nationality when registering as part of the Leonardo security process.
