Building Ultrafast Personalization Systems using Amazon Web Services & Redis

Synopsis: This talk describes the construction of an ultrafast personalized
recommendation system to serve millions of customers using standard
Amazon Web Services and Redis, a high performance in memory data
structure store.

About the Speaker: Drew Bradley is a Senior Software Engineer in Amazon’s Dynamic
Advertising team in Edinburgh. He holds an MEng in Computer and
Electronic Systems from Strathclyde University. He’s been with Amazon
Development Centre Scotland for 9 years, and has built multiple high
scale, low latency personalization systems. Prior to Amazon, he was an
intern at Sun Microsystems in California and CERN in Switzerland.
