Carbon management in the infrastructure sector
20 February 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeNow more than ever, it is critical for infrastructure professionals to understand their role in mitigating climate change.
Since the publication of the Infrastructure Carbon Review in 2013, there has been an increasing focus on carbon reduction in the infrastructure sector. A number of recent regulatory developments have followed, including the introduction of PAS 2080:2016, the world’s first standard for carbon management in infrastructure, and specific requirements regarding climate change within Environmental Impact Assessments, as per EIA Directive 2014/52/EU.
This talk will outline the principles for managing infrastructure carbon through a number of case studies, with the combined aims of reducing carbon, reducing cost and adding value.
