Explore Engineering: Invisible Superheroes River Tay boat trip, Dundee

29 July 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm

£10

Meet the people behind the city’s landmarks including the road and rail bridges, new V&A building, Harbour and lighthouse. Fun for all the family on this 1 hour boat trip on the Rib Roy, a Rigid Inflatable Boat or the Terra Nova, a cruiser with a cabin, both departing from Newport-on-Tay at 1330, 1445, 1600 and 1715.

Your hosts will share the story of Dundee through its structures including the fantastic new V&A, Telford Docks, Broughty Ferry Castle and the Pile Lighthouse. Seeing these marvels from the River gives a unique insight into the city’s history and the people who make it possible – civil engineers.

The great family day out will help inspire the next generation of engineers and showcase the invisible superheroes on whom our quality of life depends. It forms part of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) 200 year celebrations.
