Getting Started with Data and AI
6 December 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Scottish Enterprise, in collaboration with Effini, is hosting four workshops on the power of data and artificial intelligence (AI) for small businesses. Aimed at SME’s who want to learn, gain an understanding of, and overcome challenges associated with data.
These workshops are designed to help you understand the basics of data and AI, and how they can benefit your business. They’ll help demystify some of the hype and buzzwords that are out there, and bring clear case studies to help see how it can genuinely benefit you.
You’ll learn more about best practice with data management and understand how this is a fundamental approach to any successful AI project.
Concepts such as commercialisation with data and AI will be discussed, and the sessions will also consider practical steps you can do to improve your strategic planning around data and AI.
The workshops will explore ideas around the commercialisation of data and look at the opportunities presented by AI. And they’ll consider practical terms including tools, scalability, and cost.
Throughout the session, aspects such as the governance and the ethical approach will be considered, bring concepts and good practice into each area.
Attendees will learn from experts in the field who will guide them through practical exercises and real-world examples. There will also be the opportunity to network with other SMEs and share your experiences and the challenges you’ve faced.
These workshops are for SMEs from any sector or industry, aimed particularly at businesses who are keen to understand how data and AI could help their business. The workshops are delivered in person at our offices in Edinburgh, in a flexible and interactive format.
Ideally, we would recommend you attend all four of the sessions. This will enable you to leave the final session with actions to take away for implementation within your business.
Following the session there will be opportunities to discuss any plans on a 1-2-1 basis with specialists.
