Glencorse WTW Site Visit
26 March @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join the Institute of Water’s Scottish Area for an exclusive guided tour of Glencorse Water Treatment Works (WTW)—a state-of-the-art facility serving approximately 450,000 customers in the Edinburgh area.
Built in 2012, Glencorse WTW remains a remarkable example of modern construction and sustainable engineering. Designed with the environment in mind, the site features a ‘living’ roof that seamlessly blends into the surrounding countryside and structures no taller than 7 metres to minimise visual impact.
This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the innovative processes behind water treatment, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
