Hinton Lecture 2014 Engineering a 21st century Navy for a 21st century nation

On 29 October 2014, the Royal Academy of Engineering’s annual flagship lecture – the Hinton Lecture, will for the first time be broadcast via a live video link to the IET Teacher Building in Glasgow.

The format of the evening will consist of a live video link to the Royal Academy of Engineering in London, so that delegates can watch Admiral Sir George Zambellas KCB DSC ADC, The First Sea Lord, give his talk on the “extraordinary diversity of engineering and technical innovation within the emerging 21st Century Royal Navy”. Delegates will be given the opportunity to send questions to London, allowing them to be fully involved in the question and answer session. Following the lecture, there will be a discussion chaired by Dr Gordon Masterton OBE FREng FRSE and a drinks reception.
