Impact of Brexit on Higher Education in Scotland

7 February 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

This talk will reflect on the latest developments, the implications for higher education and on the plans Scotland’s universities are making for a future outside the European Union.

Brexit creates uncertainty about the future mobility of international talent across borders including students and academic staff.  It will affect Scotland’s participation in academic research collaboration across Europe.  As the UK’s economy and society adjusts, all sectors will need to consider and plan for both indirect and direct impacts in a period of complex change.

New Speaker – Dr. Sandra Cairncross, Assistant Principal, Edinburgh Napier University
