After an incredibly successful 2nd MeetUp of the year, we plan to see 2023 out with a bang. More pizza, more beers… and more fascinating talks from industry experts! Since our focus has shifted somewhat from the boundaries of mobile development, we are going to rename the meetup ‘Edinburgh Software Dev MeetUp’ to encourage people to discuss everything from AI to Voice, Computer Vision to Digital Biomarkers… as well as Mobile and Web Development.
Our November MeetUp will see: Dan Waghorn address ‘Defensive Development: Preventing Headaches in Production’Modern mobile applications are complex pieces of engineering. They often consist of a number of distinct components and must be usable across a diverse range of devices, environments, conditions and users.In this talk we’ll explore a few techniques and best practices that can be easily adopted to ensure your app continues to function for all users and support your product or service through:
- Robust back-end infrastructure design
- Change tolerant front-ends
- Release planning and impact mitigation
