MeyGen Project Update

1 February 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Atlantis Resources MeyGen project, currently under construction in the Pentland Firth, is the world’s largest tidal stream project.

In a talk in March 2015 SERMS members heard about the project details from its start in 2011 until that time.

After a very successful onshore and off-shore construction campaign, Phase 1A of the project ihas started to deliver clean, reliable, predictable tidal power to Scotland.

On 9th January 2017 Atlantis announced an award of €  20.3 in Horizon 2020 grant funding from the European Commission for MeyGen Phase 1B

At this talk we will be brought up to speed on progress since our last talk in March 2015, the project’s current status and future plans.

Speaker
David Taaffe, MeyGen Project Manager

This event is free and open to all. Registration is not required.
