Offshore pedestal crane slew bearing replacement onboard an FPSO

The replacement of offshore pedestal crane slew bearings has been carried out for over 40 years however the vast majority being carried out on fixed installations. The presentation will detail how this activity was carried out onboard an FPSO whilst still on station in the UKCS where not just complexities of lifting a crane but vessel motion being the major factor which needed to be thoroughly engineered to achieve successful execution.
