Quantum Technology for Secure Communications and Enhanced Optical Imaging

FreeThis talk will now take place in the Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre in Edinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart Campus.
Quantum technologies are considered to be those that harness aspects of quantum physics to gain a functionality or performance advantage which is otherwise unattainable. As part of the Government’s Quantum Technology Programme, some major aspects of the subject are being studied at Heriot-Watt in both quantum communications and quantum enhanced imaging.
This presentation will examine some key examples of quantum technology which may have some strategic and economic value in the future.
