Specifying Structural Steelwork

David Brown, SCI, will deliver a wide-ranging seminar on specifying structural steel, from sub-grades to welding procedures, from connection concepts to deflection limits. The relevant parts of the National Structural Steelwork Specification (NSSS) will be used to identify the key areas of interest, covering the responsibilities of the designer, the obligations on the steelwork contractor and why the requirements are important.
Some “tales from Advisory” will be used to illustrate the value of a thoughtful specification, where the critical areas are, and how to address them.
