The Committee on Climate Change

19 August 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Committee on Climate Change (the CCC) is an independent, statutory body established under the Climate Change Act 2008, with a purpose to advise the UK Government and Devolved Administrations on emissions targets and to report to Parliament on progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for climate change.

Chris Stark joined the CCC as CEO in April 2018, having previously been director of energy and climate change for the Scottish Government.

During this event, Chris will give an insight into his role, the Committee and Scotland’s climate targets. Chris will also discuss how we as engineers can support these targets.
