The demand for energy is increasing – how does this impact Scotland’s rural communities?
13 March @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In this online discussion, hear from Professor Raffaella Ocone FRSE and Dr Becky Ford as they explore the challenges and potential solutions facing rural communities in Scotland as the demand for energy increases.
This event is the second of the RSE’s five-week series called Contested rural environments. Each Thursday from 6 March–3 April, each week we hear from experts who will explore key issues impacting Scotland’s rural environments and communities, uncover their roots, and discuss potential solutions for a more sustainable future. Each series installment builds on the recent ‘Islands: past, present and future’ events, which highlighted some of the themes we are taking forward through discussion.
Booking is free, but tickets are essential.
