Synopsis
Elaine will share her own journey as a woman in technology over the last 30 years along with the some of the challenges, personal reflections and learnings along the way.
About the speaker
Elaine Maddison
Elaine Maddison is the Chief Executive of Brightsolid, a UK managed service provider headquartered in Dundee. Before joining Brightsolid in 2018, Elaine spent 20 years in the UK financial services industry in senior transformation, technology, and operational roles at the likes of Aegon and Alliance Trust and is passionate about culture, people and technology and how these work together to create great outcomes for customers. Elaine graduated in 1996 from the University of Abertay with a BSc (Hons) in Computing. She lives in Dundee with her husband Stephen, daughter Lauren and Orla the Lhasa apso! In her spare time, Elaine spends hours each week getting steps in along Riverside Dundee and is a volunteer member of the Trustee Board of Age Scotland.
