As quality professionals, we recognise the importance of well-defined frameworks and policies that not only ensure compliance but also reduce risks and provide a solid foundation for operational excellence. However, despite their critical role, ISMS and policies are often seen as mere obstacles to “get through,” rather than valuable tools to embrace. For many, these topics tend to gain attention only as audit day approaches.
This brings us to a core challenge: how can we, as leaders in quality, shift the perception of ISMS within our organisations? How do we move from a tick-box compliance mentality to a culture where the ISMS is viewed as a vital, dynamic part of daily operations—one that engages employees, supports learning, and simplifies the journey towards continuous improvement?
