Vertical Farming for Control and Efficiency
20 February @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Vertical farming technology has been developing in a number of directions in the past few years as the emerging technology becomes more established. This talk will cover Intelligent Growth Solutions’ (IGS) approach of large scale total controlled environment agriculture where versatility and efficiency are prioritised through vertical scale and automation. The speaker joined IGS in late 2019 during the company’s start-up phase and has seen IGS grow from roughly 20 employees to over 250 and go from a single operating Growth Tower to many customer deployments across the globe.
Cameron Williamson is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with IGS, with ten years industrial experience – four of which have been spent in the vertical farming sector. Cameron is a Chartered Engineer with the IMechE and has an MEng in Robotics and Cybertronics from Heriot-Watt University.
