Visit to the Advanced Forming Research Centre, Inchinnan

14 May 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Advanced Forming Research Centre is a globally-recognised centre of excellence in innovative manufacturing technologies, R&D, and metal forming and forging research. The AFRC facility works with all types of organisations: from global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) all the way through to local manufacturing companies. AFRC is at the heart of Scotland’s manufacturing research and development sector and are the country’s only High Value Manufacturing Catapult centre; one of only seven in the UK.

High value manufacturing (HVM) is the application of leading edge technical knowledge and expertise to the creation of products, production processes and associated services which have strong potential to bring sustainable growth and high economic value to the UK. HVM Catapult was set up in 2011 by the UK Government to act as the catalyst for growth and success of UK advanced manufacturing; aiming to turn ideas into commercial reality, bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The visit will take approximately two hours.

Those who wish to attend should register as possible, places are limited.
