Visit to Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems
1 April 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
FreeWoodward Inc. integrates leading-edge technologies into fuel, combustion, fluid, actuation, and electronic control systems for the aerospace and energy markets.
At Prestwick, Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for customers across Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
The technical visit will showcase a world leading Lean process that supports this segment of the business, where visitors will see the different types of fuel control technologies used in a variety of aircrafts such as the Boeing-787/777/737, Airbus A380/A320 and Bombardier, amongst others.
It is to be hoped that there will also be a demonstration of a robotic automation platform, which is being developed to test products.
