What did civil engineers ever do for us?
17 May 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeIn Scotland we have plenty of iconic projects, the Forth Bridge, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glasgow’s Subway, Falkirk Wheel and Cruachan Dam to name but a few. These projects were all needed for their own reasons and brought benefits to their surrounding society, in some cases these benefits were far bigger than could have been expected. Tonight we will be presenting on a number of these iconic Scottish Civil Engineering projects with each speaker answering the questions; Why was it needed? How did it benefit society? What is it doing today?
Each speaker will present on an iconic Scottish Civil Engineering project and at the end, the audience will vote for the one they deem the best.
